Linda Negrete, Judith Silva, and Dr. Kathy Wandler are part of the Behavioral Health Team for MUSD's Health and Wellness Department. They support students who are struggling with emotional and behavioral functioning in the classroom and socially with peers and staff. They will explain some of the reasons behind the severe and challenging behaviors we see with elementary and secondary students. Attendees will also learn strategies to work with challenging behaviors such as de-escalation skills, effective and supportive communication skills, and encouraging good behavior.
